The end of the School Holidays are fast approaching and your child is ready for another productive year. Whilst many parents are rushing around buying uniforms, school books, binders and stationery, they often forget the importance of having their child’s vision assessed. Long-sightedness is quite common in children, making it hard for them to focus on things up close. This can greatly affect their ability to read and write. The symptoms of blurred vision in your child may also be hard to spot as children are often unaware that their vision is any different to their peers. 

Our Optometrists recommend having your child’s vision assessed at least once every two years. We recommend conducting the first examination around the age of 4, so that your child can get a head-start in their learning at school.
