Jerry Jakubovic’s journey into optometry began in his early teens when he first experienced difficulty seeing the board at school. After his first eye test, he found himself fascinated by the process and the immediate improvement in his vision. This experience sparked a passion that led him to pursue a career in optometry, shifting his focus from medicine to eye care.
He chose optometry because it offered a meaningful way to make a real difference in people's lives. The ability to help others see clearly and improve their quality of life has been a constant source of fulfilment throughout his career.
Even after all these years, he remains passionate about his work and deeply values the opportunity to enhance his patients' vision and overall well-being.
Divya brings over seven years of comprehensive optometric expertise to her practice, having earned her Doctor of Optometry from the University of Melbourne in 2017. Her professional journey spans diverse clinical environments from rural communities to metropolitan centers, consistently anchored by her commitment to patient-centered care.
Her clinical experience includes specialized work at the Centre for Eye Research Australia (CERA) within the glaucoma department, where she developed deep expertise in complex eye conditions. Divya has cultivated particular interests in Anterior Eye Disease and Paediatric Optometry, continuously advancing her knowledge through professional development courses.
Committed to evidence-based practice, Divya aims to stay current with emerging research, particularly in areas such as Myopia Control, ensuring her patients receive the most advanced care available. She takes a holistic approach to eye health, practicing full-scope optometry to guide patients toward optimal vision outcomes with glasses, contact lenses, and vision therapy.
Beyond her professional pursuits, Divya enjoys an active lifestyle with her young family, including an energetic toddler. She maintains diverse interests in reading, badminton, dance, and yoga, while exploring Melbourne's vibrant coffee culture, local markets, and hiking trails throughout the region.
